Derek Farmer

Derek Farmer is a privacy engineering manager and program manager with a robust background in policy building and leadership. They served in the US Navy from 2001 to 2004, where they honed their leadership and systems thinking skills. Derek has held various roles in both public service and the private sector, including managing the user privacy program for Apple Maps. With a diverse educational background, including master’s degrees in Pastoral Studies and certificates in Project Management and Inter-Religious Studies, they are also a passionate long-distance hiker.
