Di Wu

Di Wu is an algorithm scientist specializing in human sensing and context understanding. They served as a Senior Motion Scientist at Apple in 2020, leading algorithm design for notable features on Watch OS and iOS, including vehicular detection and automatic cycling detection. Prior to this, Di was a Motion Scientist at Apple, where they designed fitness algorithms resulting in filed patents and highlighted at WWDC 2020. Di earned a PhD in Physics from Indiana University Bloomington, where they initiated multiple research projects, developed new computational tools, and collaborated with a diverse team of researchers. Di completed their undergraduate studies in Physics at Fudan University.
