Dimitrios Alanis

Dimitrios Alanis is a Wireless Systems Architect at Apple Inc. and has been a Research Fellow in the Southampton Wireless group at the University of Southampton since 2017. They obtained a 5-year Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2011, followed by an MSc in Wireless Communications in 2012, and a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2017 from the University of Southampton. Dimitrios has previously served as a mentor and demonstrator for MSc students, and worked as a Senior Research Scientist and Algorithm Engineer at VIAVI Solutions before joining Apple. Their research interests encompass quantum computation, cooperative communications, and optimization algorithms among other areas.
