Edgar Ergueta

Edgar Ergueta is a Senior Controls Design Engineer in the Special Projects Group at Apple, where they focus on the development of new technologies and products. Prior to this role, Edgar served as a Staff Robotics and Controls Engineer at Johnson & Johnson, leading technical efforts for surgical instrument development, and held various positions at Western Digital, including Associate Engineering Manager and Senior Engineering Manager. Edgar earned a Ph.D. in Control Systems from the University of California, Berkeley, where they also conducted research and taught as a Graduate Student Instructor. Their technical expertise includes control system design, embedded firmware development, and failure analysis in electro-mechanical systems.
