Edi Hsu

Edi (Wei-Chun) Hsu is an Engineering Manager specializing in Optical Sensing Design at Apple. With a robust research background from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Edi contributed to the advancement of opto-electronic devices and semiconductor fabrication over the span of their career. Edi gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant at MIT, where they achieved significant breakthroughs in solar cell efficiency and thermoradiative cells. They also held positions as a Research Scientist at KLA-Tencor and progressed to Senior Optical Sensing Hardware Engineer at Apple before their current role. Edi earned both a PhD in Optics and Electronics and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
