Erik Uttermann is the Manager of iPad Product Design at Apple, a position they have held since 2014. Previously, they served as a Design Engineer at Robinson Helicopter Company from 2003 to 2008, where they designed various components of the R66 helicopter. Erik also contributed to Apple's Mac Accessories as a Product Design Lead from 2008 to 2010, leading projects such as the Magic Trackpad and the wired keyboard for iMacs. Additionally, they played a key role in the design of the iPad 2 and iPad 3 before taking on leadership roles for the iPad 4 and iPad Pro. Erik earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2003.
