Evan Zelkowitz

Evan Zelkowitz is a Software Engineer at Apple since November 2025, previously serving as a Principal Software Development Engineer at Comcast from October 2017 to November 2025, specializing in CDN software engineering with a focus on caching proxy servers and the CDN control plane. Evan holds a BSEE in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, where research experience included work as a Research Assistant on software project guidelines and as a Research Intern at National Recovery Technologies, testing prototype recycling machinery. Prior to Comcast, Evan worked at Dish Network for over a decade, creating driver-level interfaces for set-top box applications. Additionally, Evan is a PMC member of the Apache TrafficServer project and a member of the Apache Software Foundation, contributing to new features and improvements for the project.
