Fernando Pedraza

Wireless System Engineer

Fernando Pedraza is a research assistant at Technische Universität Berlin since January 2020, with previous experience as a research intern at GPDS-SSR-UPM, where the focus was on gesture recognition systems and interaction systems using mid-air gestures and virtual reality. A master's thesis was conducted at Airbus, involving the implementation of an FFT-based Fast Multipole Method for radar cross-section calculations and a block GMRES iterative solver for equations with multiple right-hand sides. Fernando has also held a position as a wireless system engineer intern at Apple in May 2025. Fernando's academic background includes degrees in ICT Innovation from Kungliga tekniska högskolan and EIT Digital Academy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Technologies from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, achieving an ECTS grade of A and ranking second in the class, followed by a master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Università degli Studi di Trento with a score of 105/110.
