Francis Li

Francis Li is a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple since March 2024, previously serving as Research Director and Solutions Manager at DarwinAI from November 2016 to April 2024. As a co-founder and Computer Vision Lead at Phoyo from October 2016 to October 2017, Francis contributed significantly to the development of computer vision technologies. Earlier experience includes a Software Developer co-op at Sweep3D, focusing on 3D scanning software, and a Firmware Engineering Intern co-op at Virtium, where Francis developed software tools for firmware emulation. Initial engineering experience includes a Hardware Engineering co-op at Curtiss-Wright Controls. Francis holds a Master's of Applied Science in Computer Vision and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Waterloo.
