Fred Tsai has extensive experience in hardware engineering and microprocessor design, with significant roles at prestigious companies. Starting with the ROC Army Space and Missile Defense Command as a Sergeant, Fred specialized in troubleshooting frequency converters and generators for missile defense systems. Fred then advanced to Oracle, where responsibilities included designing high-performance memory subsystems and leading microarchitecture efforts for the SPARC microprocessor series. Prior experience at Sun Microsystems involved backend composition and verification for SPARC processors. Since November 2017, Fred has been contributing as an SOC Design Engineer at Apple. Additionally, Fred served as President and Chairman of the Board for the Tsinghua Alumni Association of Northern California. Fred holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
