Hars Vardhan

Hars Vardhan, PhD, is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Apple since March 2021. Prior to this, Hars held the position of Senior Staff Research Scientist at Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center, where responsibilities included deploying optimized deep learning models for autonomous driving platforms. Hars also served as a Staff Research Scientist and Engineer at Samsung, focusing on deep learning training systems and GPU-accelerated computing platforms. Early career experiences included roles as a Graduate Researcher and Teaching Assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas, an intern at Intel working on scalable networking infrastructure, a consultant at Motorola for mobile ad applications, and a QA intern at VMware. Hars holds a PhD and MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.
