Holly Borla

Holly Borla is the Swift Language Engineering Manager at Apple, where they lead the Swift programming language team and contribute to various aspects of type system design and implementation. They have previously worked as a software engineer and intern at Apple, and served as a teaching assistant and proof tutor at the University of Michigan College of Engineering. Holly holds a B.S.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, graduating with honors. Their interests encompass education, programming languages, compilers, theoretical math, and dance, motivating their development of tools for computer science students and software engineers.
