Hua Ouyang

Hua Ouyang is an experienced software engineering manager and machine learning researcher with a robust background in developing innovative AI/ML applications. At Apple from January 2015 to January 2022, Hua Ouyang led on-device intelligence initiatives focused on privacy-preserving AI/ML, and previously managed the architecture design for Siri's web and app search relevance, enhancing user engagement through sophisticated learning-to-rank models. Prior experience includes working as a research scientist at Yahoo! Research Labs, spearheading a team that created deep learning systems for mobile search relevance. Hua Ouyang holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in large-scale stochastic and distributed machine learning, as well as a Master of Philosophy in Speech Recognition from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
