Ivan Doherty

Ivan Doherty possesses a diverse professional background with extensive experience in governmental and political roles. Notably, Ivan served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate at the Washington DC Superior Court from November 2017 to January 2020. Ivan acted as a Foreign Policy Advisor for Governor Howard Dean during the Democratic National Committee from December 2005 to December 2008. Since January 2020, Ivan has owned Highlake House and Monastery and has been a Senior Advisor for Government Relations and Strategy at Apple since April 2021. Ivan's experience also includes a tenure of over two decades at the National Democratic Institute, where Ivan was a Senior Associate and Director of Political Party Programs from November 1997 to April 2020, and an earlier role as General Secretary for the Fine Gael Party from November 1990 to December 1994. Additionally, Ivan contributed to academia as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University from January 2008 to May 2012 and worked as a Programme Manager in the Department of Tourism and Trade for the Government of Ireland from December 1994 to July 1997.
