Jack Newman is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in audio technologies and application development. As a Senior Software Engineer and later a Software Engineering Manager at Apple from March 2021 to September 2024, Jack led the development of the ASAF Production Suite and managed a team focusing on immersive audio experiences with the Apple Spatial Audio Format. Prior experience includes positions at MOTU, where Jack held several roles, culminating as Lead Virtual Instrument Developer, overseeing all audio plug-in projects and enhancements in DSP, as well as contributions to the Digital Performer DAW. Jack also worked as a Computer Science researcher at Ben Gurion University, specializing in lossless file compression algorithms. Jack holds a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Cambridge, along with additional studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
