Jaya Narain

Jaya Narain is a machine learning researcher at Apple Health AI, specializing in speech, multi-modal time series data, health, accessibility, and human-centered design. Jaya co-founded and served as co-director of MIT ATHack from 2014 to 2020, facilitating hackathons focused on assistive technology for individuals living with disabilities. Jaya's previous roles include undergraduate researcher and team lead with the MIT Marine Robotics Team, as well as graduate research assistant at both the MIT Media Lab and the Global Engineering and Research Lab. Jaya holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they also received a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Ocean Engineering.
