Jeff Secor is an experimental optical scientist with a diverse background in physics, spectroscopy, semiconductor electronics, physical chemistry, and biological sciences. Having owned JS Gardens from 2008 to 2018, they specialized in landscape construction design and build in Brooklyn and NYC. Jeff served as a Research Associate in the Physics Department at City College of New York from 2016 to 2017, focusing on creating short-lived solar energy cells. They transitioned to a role as a Physics Teacher at The Dalton School for the 2017-2018 academic year before becoming an Optical Sensing Hardware Engineer at Apple in 2018. Jeff is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Spectroscopy of nano materials at the City University of New York and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology from the University of Arizona.
