Jian Wang

Jian Wang is a Display Engineer at Apple, specializing in display optics and module design since August 2024. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Device Development at Ubiquitous Energy, where Jian Wang focused on the development of transparent solar cell windows from March 2022 to May 2024. As a Research Scientist and Washington Research Foundation Innovation Fellow at the University of Washington from July 2017 to March 2022, Jian Wang conducted research on materials and optoelectronic devices. Additionally, Jian Wang was a Mistletoe Research Fellow at the Mistletoe Foundation, providing consultancy for startup hardware designs between September 2018 and August 2020. Earlier roles include Research Associate and Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas, emphasizing semiconductor device fabrication and characterization, as well as leadership in organizing student colloquia. Jian Wang holds a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science from Jilin University.
