Jie Cui

Jie (Jerry) Cui is a seasoned expert in 5G and 6G research and standardization, currently serving as a Specialist at Apple since September 2019. Key responsibilities include acting as Rapporteur for R18/17/16 RRM Enh WI in 3GPP RAN4, conducting extensive research on NR and LTE technologies related to RRM, NR-U, NTN, RedCap, SDT, positioning, beam management, and power saving, as well as contributing to 3GPP RAN4 standardization. Prior experience includes a Senior Staff role at Intel Corporation from September 2016 to October 2019, focusing on NR and LTE RRM technology research and standardization. Earlier work experience at Huawei as a Staff Engineer from July 2010 to August 2015 involved research and standardization in UMTS, LTE, and LTE-A RRM. Jie (Jerry) Cui holds a Ph.D. in Wireless Communication and a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication Engineering, both from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
