John Ulmen

John Ulmen is the Director of Hardware Engineering at Apple, a position they have held since 2021. They co-founded Boosted, Inc. and served as its CTO from 2011 to 2020, building the company into a well-known light electric vehicle brand. John also has experience as a consultant for various startups, offering expertise in numerous technical and business areas. They worked as a Mechatronics Instructor at Stanford University, where they were recognized as a top instructor, and contributed to significant research efforts in robotics and gravitational-wave observatories during their academic career. John holds multiple degrees, including a PhD candidate status in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
