Jon Tong

Jon Tong is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, specializing in the development of machine learning models for predicting credit default risk using Open Banking transactional data. Previously, Jon held roles as a Research Scientist at Credit Kudos and as a Data Science Fellow at Faculty, where they focused on improving credit scoring with AI. Jon earned a PhD in Plasma Physics from Imperial College London, where their research included simulations for inertial confinement fusion experiments and the development of parallel Monte-Carlo models. Their experience also encompasses collaborations at the British Antarctic Survey, contributing to advancements in space weather modeling.
