Justin Echols, Ph.D., is an algorithm engineer with extensive expertise in control theory, estimation, system identification, and optimization. They have served in various roles, including Senior Advanced Research and Development Scientist at Honeywell, where they led a team that demonstrated the feasibility of magnetic anomaly navigation on commercial aircraft. With a strong foundation in navigation and control systems, Justin has contributed to projects at General Dynamics Mission Systems and Hemisphere GNSS, among others. They hold a Ph.D. in Control Systems from Arizona State University, where they graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Currently, Justin continues to work as a Sensing Algorithms Engineer at Apple.
