Karl Mann is a seasoned professional in the field of computer engineering, with extensive experience in graphics and hardware design. Currently serving as GPU Leader at Apple since January 2013, Karl focuses on micro-architecture, design, and performance modeling. Prior to this role, Karl was a Graphics Architect and Hardware Engineer at AMD from 2006 to 2013, and also held the position of SMTS ASIC/Layout Design Engineer at ATI Research, Inc. from 2003 to 2006. Karl’s career began as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Matrox from January 2001 to November 2002, and earlier as an ASIC Design Engineer. Academically, Karl earned a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida (2005-2007) after attaining a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech (1995-2000).
