Katja Battarbee

Katja Battarbee is an experienced design professional currently serving as a Design Team Manager at Apple since August 2018, focusing on health-related special projects. Prior to this role, Katja held positions as a Principal XD Researcher at Intuit and as Project Lead at IDEO Palo Alto, where significant contributions included leading health and technology projects and co-leading the research community. Earlier experience includes conducting design research as a human-centered designer and researcher, and serving as a researcher at the University of Art and Design Helsinki, where work culminated in a doctorate degree in Product and Strategic Design. Additionally, Katja was a visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University, teaching product design skills to HCI students in 2001.
