Kelvin So

Kelvin So has a strong background in data science and engineering, with industry experience at notable companies such as Greenplum/EMC, Qualcomm, and Apple. At Greenplum/EMC, Kelvin contributed as a Data Scientist Intern, enhancing parallel in-database data analytic algorithms for the MADlib library. At Qualcomm, Kelvin refined indoor localization techniques using Wi-Fi signals. Later at Apple, Kelvin served as a Data Scientist from 2014 to 2017, and progressed to Senior Engineering Manager, specializing in the architecture and development of platforms leveraging advanced machine learning technologies. Kelvin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
