Kurt Liu is a highly experienced GPU Performance and Modeling Engineer at Apple since January 2016, specializing in performance prototyping, architectural exploration, and validation of Apple GPUs. Prior to Apple, Kurt served as a Staff Engineer at Qualcomm, focusing on user-mode driver development for Qualcomm Adreno GPUs and contributing significantly to multiple generations of GPU projects. Kurt also held the position of MTS Software Development Engineer at AMD, leading Direct 3D driver development for graphics ASICs, and worked at Augusta Technology USA Inc. as a Graphics Architecture Engineer, where Kurt developed C-Models for 3D graphics engines. Earlier roles included positions at AMD in driver development and maintenance for video capture and DXVA drivers.
