Mark Zimmer has a rich career in the technology and software industries, beginning as a Programmer at Calma, Co. from June 1975 to December 1980, and later serving as Manager of Systems Programming at Tricad Inc. until May 1985. Mark was a Partner at Fractal Software from May 1985 until April 1991, after which Mark founded Fractal Design Corporation, serving as President and CEO until May 1997. Following this, Mark held the position of CTO and Director at MetaCreations until May 2000 before consulting for Fractal.com until December 2001. Mark joined Apple in March 2003 and currently works as a Software Development Engineer 6.
