Márton Balassi

Márton Balassi is currently the Engineering Manager for the Spark and Flink Platform at Apple, specializing in low latency distributed streaming data processing. Previously, they served as a Senior Engineering Manager at Cloudera, where they led a team that integrated Apache Flink into the company's software distribution. Márton's earlier roles included positions at Data Artisans as a Flink Streaming Developer and as a Big Data Solutions Developer at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. They hold a Master's Degree in Computer Science and two Bachelor's degrees in Applied Economics and Computer Software Engineering from Eötvös Loránd University and Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Additionally, Márton has been a committer and PMC member at the Apache Flink project since 2014.
