Matin Barekatain

Matin Barekatain is currently an Optical Sensing Hardware Engineer at Apple, where they focus on advanced engineering solutions. Previously, Matin worked as a Ph.D. R&D Intern at Apple’s Health Technologies Team and was a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Southern California, contributing to projects involving acoustic, ultrasound, and RF sensing systems. Matin earned multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. and Master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the University of Southern California, along with a Bachelor's degree from Sharif University of Technology. Their past experience also includes research internships related to low-power ECG monitoring and non-uniform sampling of sparse signals.
