Matt Kaplan is a senior GPU and systems engineer with over 20 years of experience in building graphics software and drivers. They served as a Senior Software Engineer at Nvidia from 2007 to 2014, where they were a principal architect of the Nvidia Direct Compute driver and chief architect of the GeForce Experience driver, contributing to several company patents. Kaplan completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Utah, where they also worked as a Research Assistant, and later as a Post Doctoral Fellow at INRIA Rhône Alpes. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Apple, continuing their work in GPU and systems engineering.
