Matt McVicar

Matt McVicar is a Machine Learning Research Manager at Apple in London, England, where they lead the Music Content Intelligence research group. Previously, they served as a Machine Learning Researcher at Jukedeck and a Data Scientist at the University of Bristol, where they co-led the EPSRC-funded project "Data Science for the Detection of Emerging Music Styles." Matt's prior experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant at the National Institute for Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan and being awarded a Fulbright scholarship for research at Columbia University. They earned a PhD in Engineering Mathematics and multiple advanced degrees from the University of Bristol.
