Meng-Ping Kao

Meng-Ping (Ben) Kao is an experienced Video Coding and Processing Engineer at Apple, with a career spanning over a decade in video technology. Previously, Meng-Ping worked at Qualcomm as a Senior Engineer, focusing on the design and development of mobile video IP solutions including H.264 encoding/decoding. Meng-Ping's early career includes research and teaching roles at the University of California at San Diego, conducting advanced video coding research, as well as internships at Qualcomm and Technicolor, where skills in bitstream parsing optimization and video filtering were honed. Meng-Ping holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC San Diego, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Communication and Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
