Michael Kinney is currently the Manager of Product Design Engineering at Apple, a position they have held since 2022. Previously, they served as a Product Design Engineer at Apple from 2016 to 2022, and as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Boeing, where they led R&D projects and designed various systems. Michael gained early experience as an Undergraduate Research Intern at Penn State University, where they analyzed rotorcraft transmission concepts and received the PSU Research Discovery Grant. They earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.
