Mike MacNeil

Mike MacNeil, PhD, is a Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer at Apple, where they apply their extensive problem-solving skills in the field. With a PhD in Applied Mathematics and over 10 years of academic and industrial experience, Mike has collaborated with interdisciplinary teams on challenging projects, including innovative work in image processing and optimization algorithms. Their previous roles included positions at Berkeley Lab, RefleXion Medical, and Synaptive Medical, where they developed advanced algorithms for scientific imaging and radiation therapy. Mike earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science and PhD in Applied Mathematics from Carleton University and the University of Edinburgh, respectively.
