Mike Powers

Mike Powers is a seasoned professional specializing in platform security and certifications. Currently serving as a Platform Security Certifications Engineer at Apple since August 2024, Mike is responsible for the security certification testing of Apple products and operating systems while collaborating with various engineering teams. Prior experience includes a role as a Security Certification Engineer at Fortanix, where Mike assessed compliance with federal and international standards. Previously, from January 2015 to February 2023, Mike held the position of CSTL Technical Director and Security Assurance Engineer at Leidos, contributing to multiple validation efforts and developing testing tools. Mike began the career with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (2008-2012) and has continued to expand expertise in security compliance and assurance throughout the years.
