Ming Fang is an R&D Director with over 15 years of experience in optical coatings design, process, metrology, and application. They have successfully delivered more than seven new coating products to volume manufacturing and four optical-mechanical prototypes. Previously, Ming held positions as a researcher and project manager at the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, as well as as R&D VP at Hillmaxtech Ltd, where they directed optical coating implementations for various technologies. Currently, they serve as an Optical Engineer at Apple, focusing on enhancing imaging, sensing, and display performance through innovative optical solutions. Ming earned a Bachelor of Science in Inorganic Materials/Glass and a Ph.D. in Thin Film Materials & Optical Coating.
