Minsik Cho

Minsik Cho is an accomplished researcher in the fields of deep learning, machine learning, and AI technology with extensive experience at leading companies. Minsik began a professional career as a summer intern at Intel in 2005, followed by a significant tenure at IBM Research from 2008 to 2018 in various roles, including Research Staff Member and Program Director, focusing on hardware/software co-design for machine learning. Minsik contributed to innovative technologies and led teams on complex AI challenges at IBM. In 2020, Minsik joined Apple, initially working on Siri R&D and currently involved in machine intelligence research and development. Minsik's educational background includes a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, an MS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a BS from Seoul National University.
