Molly May is a highly motivated optical engineer and PhD physicist with over 10 years of experience in optical system development, modeling, and validation. They served as an Optical Physics Researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they engineered a custom plasmonic near-field optical microscope and managed student projects. Previously, as a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, Molly invented a process that significantly increased the brightness of fluorescent defect centers in diamond nanoparticles. In their role as Optical Research Project Lead at the Medical University of Innsbruck, they designed a novel two-photon microscope that greatly enhanced imaging capabilities. Molly is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder.
