Murthy Arelekatti is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in product design and development, particularly in the field of audio and ergonomics. At Apple, from October 2019 to June 2025, Murthy held roles as an Audio Fit Product Design Engineer and an Ergonomics Product Design Engineer. Prior to this, Murthy completed a Master’s degree and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), focusing on user-centered design methods for passive prosthetic knee components. Additionally, Murthy's professional background includes working as a Product Development Engineer at 3M India from July 2010 to April 2013 and as an Undergraduate Intern at Hindustan Unilever Limited in mid-2009. Early career experience also includes a role as a Summer Research Fellow at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research.
