Norbert Metz has extensive experience in wireless systems engineering, currently serving as a Wireless System Engineer at Apple since December 2019. Prior to this role, Norbert worked at Intel Corporation from February 2011 to November 2019 as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and Team Lead in System Engineering for 3G, 4G, and 5G physical layers, focusing on KPI optimizations and architecture definition for multi-core systems. From 1999 to January 2011, Norbert was a System Engineer at Infineon Technologies, leading projects on DSP firmware for 3G and developing concepts for UMTS/LTE chipsets. Norbert began his career as an Application Engineer at Siemens from 1996 to 1999, specializing in communication ICs for mobile applications. Norbert holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Electrical Engineering and Communication Technology from Technische Universität Darmstadt, earned between 1991 and 1996.
