Patrick Gaughan is a retired computer engineer with extensive experience in circuit and physical design. They served as a Technical Lead at Intel Corporation from 2002 to 2014, contributing to CPU design teams and later focusing on system-on-chip tasks. Currently, Patrick is a Physical Design Technical Lead at Apple, where they oversee significant subsystems for Apple products and guide a team of engineers. Additionally, Patrick taught Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Alabama from 1994 to 1997. They hold a PhD in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a BS and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from New Mexico State University.
