Pete Alcorn

Pete Alcorn is a seasoned writer and editor specializing in digital publishing and education, currently self-employed since January 2017. Alcorn co-founded NetRead, where responsibilities included raising capital, and later served as Head of Podcasting at Apple from August 2005 to February 2010, focusing on content discovery and user engagement. Additional roles at Apple included leading the curation of educational content and managing the launch of iBooks stores across Europe. Prior to this, Alcorn headed the ebook business at Amazon from July 2003 to July 2005 and worked as an editor and writer at Textbooks from 1988 to 1997. Alcorn holds a B.A. in English Literature from Princeton University, attained between 1984 and 1988.
