Ravi Valmikam

Ravi Valmikam is an experienced engineering professional, currently serving as Director of Engineering at Apple since April 2012, focusing on product definition, system architecture, technical management, and hands-on development for the Apple Maps platform. Prior to this role, Ravi held positions at Cisco Systems as an Architect, specializing in WiFi and LTE convergence architecture, and at Movik Networks as a System Architect, where responsibilities included product definition, system architecture, customer engagement, and hands-on development. Previous experience also includes working as a Consulting Engineer at Airvana, contributing to 1xEVDO, UMTS, and LTE products, and serving as a Senior Software Engineer at ADC Telecommunications, focusing on DOCSIS 2.0, PacketCable, and VoIP solutions. Ravi Valmikam holds an M.S. in Software Systems from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
