Senior Director of Product Design, iPhone at Apple

Rich Dinh is a Senior Director at Apple, overseeing Product Design for the iPhone. Rich has been with Apple for over 15 years, starting as a Product Design Engineer on the iPod team. Rich later transitioned to the iPhone team in its early days, and eventually became a Manager and then Director of iPhone Product Design. In their current role, they lead a team of designers responsible for the hardware and software design of the iPhone.

Rich has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Rich started their career as a Software Engineer at TradeSpeak, before moving to Apple in 2005. At Apple, they have been instrumental in the design of some of the most iconic products in the tech industry, including the iPod and iPhone. Rich is widely respected within the company for their product design expertise, and their team is responsible for creating some of the most innovative and user-friendly products on the market.

Rich Dinh has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Rich Dinh reports to Tang Yew Tan, VP, iPhone & Apple Watch Product Design. They work with Eric Jol - Interconnect PD, Gary Geaves - VP, Acoustics, and Erik Wang - Senior Director of Product Design.
