Rob York

VP, Manufacturing Design at Apple

Rob York is the Vice President - Manufacturing Design at Apple. Rob has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and manufacturing industries.

Rob started their career at Perceptron in 1995 as the Director of Product Development. Rob then moved to Solidica, Inc. in 2000 and served as the Director of Operations and Development and Chief Operating Officer. In 2006, Rob left Solidica to join Honeywell as the Director Operational Excellence. Rob was promoted to Sr. Director Mechanical Commodities in 2005 and served in that role until they left Honeywell to return to Apple in 2007.

At Apple, Rob has served in various leadership roles within the engineering organization including Director, GSM Enclosures (2007-2008), Director, GSM & SQE Enclosures (2008-2009), and Director, GSM, SQE, & SBE Enclosures (2009-2010). Rob was promoted to Sr. Director of Enclosures in 2010 and served in that role until 2014 when they were promoted to their current role as Vice President - Manufacturing Design.

Rob has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Rob York has a MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a MSME from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a BSME from Purdue University.
