Robert Monarch leads engineering teams at Apple, focusing on machine learning, annotation, anti-fraud, and privacy-preserving architectures for new products. Previously, Robert served as a Principal Product Manager at Amazon Web Services, where they launched AWS's first suite of Natural Language Processing and Neural Machine Learning products. Additionally, Robert co-founded Idibon, where they managed a large team and fostered a diverse company culture. With a strong academic background, Robert is completing a PhD in Computational Linguistics at Stanford University, having also earned multiple undergraduate degrees with honors from the University of Sydney. Robert is an instructor for Deeplearning.ai courses and runs Bay Area NLP, a leading community in Natural Language Processing.
