Root Chen

Root Chen has extensive experience in mechanical design and automation, with a career spanning over 18 years in notable companies. Beginning as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Advanced Systems Automation, Root specialized in mechanical design and customer technical support from July 2005 to November 2008. Following that role, Root served as an Equipment Engineer at STMicroelectronics, focusing on automatic system maintenance and machine design improvement from December 2008 to January 2011. A position as a Senior Equipment R&D Engineer at Evergreen Solar from February 2011 to October 2011 involved automation machine design and project management. Root contributed as a Senior Manufacturing Project Leader at Bosch from November 2011 to July 2014, handling various aspects of manufacturing line concept design and process implementation. Currently, since July 2014, Root holds the position of Senior Automation MDE at Apple, concentrating on manufacturing process validation and implementation. Root Chen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Automation from China Agricultural University between 2001 and 2005.
