Ryan Nielsen

Ryan Nielsen is a software engineering manager at Apple, overseeing the FaceTime Core and Experience teams, responsible for the application across multiple platforms. They previously worked as an engineering project manager, leading significant projects for macOS and Apple silicon. Ryan co-founded Tumult Inc., where they developed the award-winning web animation app Hype. Their career began with an internship at Lockheed Martin, followed by a senior role at Apple that spanned several years and major macOS releases. Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Boulder and completed an entrepreneurial program at Y Combinator.
