Ryan Shar is currently a Graduate Student Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on user intent uncertainty in coding assistants under Dr. Ameet Talwalkar and Valerie Chen. Prior to this, Ryan was an Undergraduate Researcher at Systopia Lab at UBC, where they worked on improving error bounds for decision trees. Additionally, they served as a Firmware Developer at Motorola Solutions, enhancing playback and recording capabilities, and were a Teaching Assistant at the University of British Columbia, instructing multiple computer science courses. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Honours Computer Science from UBC and is pursuing a Master of Science in Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University.
