Sean Backs is an accomplished materials engineer and failure analysis engineering manager with a strong background in the field of physics. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2005, Sean began a career at QuesTek Innovations LLC as a Materials Engineer from August 2007 to October 2012. Following this, Sean joined Apple, where roles included Materials Engineer from October 2012 to March 2016 and progressing to Senior Failure Analysis Engineer before assuming the position of Failure Analysis Engineering Manager in March 2021.
